I was born in Santiago-Chile in 1979.
My first approach to Photography was when I was around 10 years old and I found in a closet, my fathers old 35mm film Minolta camera, it was not working, but there where several lenses, my mother taught me how the photometer works and how to focus and I spend a lot of time looking through the camera, taking pictures (without a roll) in the garden, the house and most off all to the TV screen. Few years later as a birthday present my parents gave me the Minolta fixed and working. Since then I am hooked to photography. In 1993 I began my saxophone and music studies, In 1996 I was really bored after school staying at home so I start to paint in my room I suppose as a way to deal with time and with my self. After school In 1999 I attends a bachelor’s degree in visual arts at the University in Valparaiso and in the same year I enter the Music Conservatory in Valparaiso to continue my music and saxophone studies. In 2001 I move to La Habana Cuba to keep my music studies, also did some exhibitions of my paintings and photographs in galleries in La Habana.
In 2004, back in Chile, with some friends we build and manage a cultural centrum, Eros-Lab, located in an old house in Santiago, for few years we fill our lives in a creative, wild and fearless community, full of art, ideas and dreams. In 2006 I came to live in Patagonia Argentina, again searching for a high contrast change, small village in a valley on the Cordillera de los Andes, there I start a new creative process focus on the experimentation, giving me time to explore and try without any purpose, more than the pleasure of doing and listening in a different way. During that period I got in touch with electronic music process, synthesizer, loops, machines, effects, computers, etc. that blew my mind and gave me infinite new possibilities to deal with sounds and images.
In 2007, I was invited to participate with a Chilean Rock Band to make a tour for two month to Europe, some how, after the tour was over, I decided to stay in Berlin, I stay there for 3 years, again a high contrast change, and a trigger to develop my love to street photography, multicultural exchange, and the connection to part of my history and cultural heritage.
Throughout my career I develop different artistic and musical projects in Cuba, Chile, Argentina and various countries in Europe. I have exhibited paintings and photographs in various galleries in the United States, Latin America and Europe. In October 2019 I perform several concerts in various cities of Japan and participate with my paintings in a collective exhibition in Festa Design Gallery in Tokyo. In December 2019 I was invited to participate in ART BASEL in Miami, with an exhibition of my paintings at RED DOT.
